WIN A DAY AT DARE STUDIOS

Posted by APATA Published By Dare Studios | Mar 5, 2024

The team at Dare Studios have created a studio where every detail of the space is designed to be the ultimate creative sanctuary for creative collaboration, performance, recording and production. Dare Studios is a place where expressive performances can be captured in the most inspiring and acoustically optimal environment and where sonic excellence is enhanced at every stage of production.

Dare Studios was designed in consultation with renowned studio architect Peter Brown and also incorporates a classic recording room designed and tuned by legendary acoustician Richard Priddle (Alberts Studios, Tiger, 2UE, Sony Studios, Milk Bar, 301, Rhinoceros) and built under his supervision by master-craftsman Holger Schumann.

The control room and tracking room are completely isolated from the existing structure via Embleton rubber floor pads. The Studio features natural light and line of sight for instant human connection between musicians, performers and the engineer. The structure incorporates rooms within rooms for complete sonic isolation with tuned abfusers and absorbers on the walls and ceiling for optimal reflection control. Silent ducted air-conditioning with expertly crafted plenums provide a constant supply of fresh air ensuring a constantly refreshing and nurturing atmosphere.

It is a superb environment for capturing video and photography with controllable natural light.
The studio is fully equiped with a premium selection of microphones, recording equipment and instruments including a vintage Hammond Organ with Leslie Cabinet.
