If you are a paid annual APATA membership holder this article will contain answers to your most frequently asked APATA membership questions.

Membership Types

Individual
  • Student  – $55/year
  • Teacher/Educator – $110/year
  • Industry Education Practitioner $110/year
School Membership
  • Primary/Secondary (School) – $150/year
  • Performing Arts School (Private ownership) – $150/year
  • Higher Education (Institution) – $150/year
Arts Industry / Organisation Membership
  • Company/Organisation – $220/year
  • Government – $220/year
  • Business/Venue – $220/year

How to login

  1. Go to www.apata.com.au
  2. Click ‘Login’ in the upper righthand corner of any page.
  3. Enter your login credentials and you’ll be directed to your member dashboard.

On signing up you will receive:

  1. A ‘Welcome’ email with your username.
  2. A tax invoice and receipt email from APATA.
  3. NOTE* We recommend saving these emails for your records.

I forgot my password!

  • Reset at Login
  • The APATA membership account email address will receive the Reset my password email from APATA.
  • You may not be receiving the Reset my password email because another email address was used to sign up for membership.
  • Need help? Contact hello@apata.com.au to talk to a team member.

I can’t remember my username.

  • Your very first email from APATA confirms your membership and username.
  • Can’t find it? Email: hello@apata.com.au. Once we have verified your membership, we will send you your username. 

Are you a school or organisation looking for your username?

  • Your team member who created your APATA account will have added a contact email on sign up.
  • They may have used their personal work email and not the school’s.
  • This email address of the APATA membership holder will receive all APATA communication (We recommend designating an APATA contact, someone who will oversee sharing APATA communication to your team).
  • You can change your membership contact details anytime in your member dashboard.

I can’t find the tax invoice!

  • On signing up for an APATA membership you, or the team member who signed up, will have received a ‘Welcome’ email from APATA. Attached to this ‘Welcome’ email is your payment receipt and tax invoice.
  • APATA can resend your tax invoice anytime to the APATA membership email address holder.
  • Can’t remember what email belongs to your APATA membership? Contact hello@apata.com.au to talk to a team member.

How do I opt-out of auto-renewal of my membership?

What is the frequency of your newsletter?

  • Monthly, mostly. If you have subscribed but are not receiving our newsletter please check your junk mail inbox and add us to your address book.

Why am I not receiving APATA emails and newsletters?

  • The email address of the payee (the person who makes the payment) and the email address of the APATA membership holder are sometimes different.
  • PLEASE NOTE: The membership holder receives all APATA communication, this will include the ‘Welcome’ email with invoice.
  • Sometimes emails are redirected by your server, please add us to your address book.

MY PROFILE

  • Your profile makes you visible to the APATA community.
  • Profiles are only accessible once logged into your account.
  • To view profiles click on/select the profile of interest to open and learn more.

MORE:

  • Complete your profile by including your main discipline/s.
  • Adding your head shot or logo is a great way to be visible and easily recognised.
  • Privacy? Your details are protected as only public information is displayed in your profile and the information you wish to share with others. 
  • Get started connecting with the APATA online community.

MY NEWS

I want to share my:

  • Special news about a student or one of my teachers.
  • My own story.
  • Student, school or practitioner projects.
  • Handy teaching hints and tips.
  • My expertise or opinion pieces.
  • My workshops, masterclasses, holiday classes, festivals, showcases, and competition performances.

How to load my text and images?

  • Login to your member dashboard.
  • Click ‘Stories/What’s On’ box, then ‘Submit a Story’.
  • Load your content and video URL links.
  • Once submitted you may then upload images.
    • IMAGES: PNG or JPG
    • LOGOs: Hi-Res 300dpi JPG or PDF
  • You will be notified on approval and a proof sent to you before release.
  • If emailing hello@apata.com.au please only include video URL [Vimeo or YouTube] or File URL [Dropbox, Google Docs, etc.].

MY ADVERTISING BENEFITS

Highlight your programs on the Studio News page ‘Leaderboard and Tower’ advertising platform options.

  • FREE with your APATA membership.
  • Link directly to your website or ticketing platforms for more information and maximum exposure.
  • Allow 4-6 weeks lead in time before your event date.
  • Positioning is subject to availability at APATA’s discretion.
  • Send your ADs to us for consideration so we may schedule accordingly.
  • You will be informed of your AD upload dates via email.

How Members Submit Editorial Articles and Ads

    1. Login to your member dashboard (Top right of the Toolbar of this page).
    2. Go to ‘Stories/What’s On’ tab to submit an Editorial Article (complete requested information including promotional URL plus the date/s of your promotion).
    3. Go to ‘Advertise’ tab to submit a Leaderboard or Tower Ad (complete requested information including promotional URL plus the date/s of your promotion).
    4. Click submit. (Images can only be added once submitted).
    5. Add your editorial JPG or PNG images, or single JPG AD image.
    6. Alternatively please email us at hello@apata.com.au or Contact Us for assistance to discuss your requirements.

Editorial Article
  • PNG or JPG no bigger than 1MB
  • Size 952 x 570px
Leader Board (Top of the page Banner)
  • PNG or JPG no bigger than 1MB
  • Size: 1280 x 152px
Tower (Right-side Banner)
  • PNG or JPG no bigger than 1MB
  • Size: 298 x 598px

JOINING APATA EVENTS

Events offered by APATA range from virtual online platforms to live events. Ticket pricing is structured based on the event platform offered for Members and Non-Members.

As Advertised – Member Free Ticket Offer

  • Unlimited ticket purchases available.
  • When booking your APATA member ticket/s you may be asked to enter your username for verification.
  • Purchasing as a group – place order in 1 (one) multiple booking.
  • Complete all mandatory details (name and individual email addresses) for each ticket holder.
  • This will ensure each member ticket holder receives key event information and updates such as online links and reminders.
  • If booked under one email address, the ticket booker will need to share event details with the group.

As Advertised – Member Events Free Ticket Offer

  • Student Members are entitled to 1 (one) complimentary ticket purchase.
  • Individual Members are entitled to 1 (one) complimentary ticket purchase.
  • School/Organisations Members are entitled to 2 (two) complimentary ticket purchases.
  • Book your 2 (two) APATA member tickets in one multiple booking.
  • When booking your APATA member ticket you may be asked to enter your username for verification.
  • All other ticket purchases are available at the discounted APATA member pricing for events.
  • Complete all mandatory details (name and individual email addresses) for each ticket holder.
  • This will ensure each member ticket holder receives key event information and updates such as online links and reminders.
  • If booked under one email address, the ticket booker will need to share event details with the group.

As Advertised – Member Events Discounted Ticket Purchase Offer

  • Ticket offer provides a member and non-member purchase offer.
  • Ticket purchases are available at the discounted APATA member pricing for events.
  • When booking your APATA member ticket you may be asked to enter your username for verification.
  • Complete all mandatory details (name and individual email addresses) for each ticket holder.
  • This will ensure each member ticket holder receives key event information and updates such as online links and reminders.
  • If booked under one email address, the ticket booker will need to share event details with the group.

As Advertised – Non-Member Event Ticket Purchase

    • Ticket purchase price applies as advertised.
    • Purchasing as a group – place order in 1 (one) multiple booking.
    • Complete all mandatory details (name and individual email addresses) for each ticket holder.
    • This will ensure each member ticket holder receives key event information and updates such as online links and reminders.
    • If booked under one email address, the ticket booker will need to share event details with the group.

In Case You Missed It (On Demand) – APATA Digital Library:

  • Access for members only.
  • Members will be required to log into your APATA account to access the APATA Digital Library.
  • Please note for ‘On Demand’ offers limited access period may apply to viewing.
  • Non-members, in case you missed an event (webinar or live) and wish to view in the APATA Digital Library if available, please apply in writing to hello@apata.com.au where your request will be taken into consideration pending review of circumstances.

Please note:

  • Failure to include correct ticket holder email addresses will result in communication going directly to the one person who made the initial booking only.
  • It is the responsibility of the ticket booker to ensure the correct details are recorded at the time of the booking.
  • Virtual events are hosted via Vimeo.com or Zoom.us
  • APATA ticketing is hosted by trybooking.com

THE APATA NATIONAL AWARDS PROGRAM

Important Annual Award Dates

  • Award Entries Open and Criteria Released: 1st September
  • Awards Entries Close: Midnight AEDT, 1st March
  • Awards Announced: Last Friday in April
  • Presentations: Throughout May/June

As an APATA member you can enter the APATA National Awards Program.

  • A fee per entry is required.

  • Access to the Awards Portal is only available via your member dashboard: Login HERE (Or the top corner of the page Toolbar).
  • The Awards page has the latest APATA National Awards Program Criteria and information.

Criteria is ONLY available from September and during the Award annual registration period: 1 September – 1 March
