Access to and use of the website www.apata.com.au and its associated email newsletter, is provided by APATA (The Australian Performing Arts Teachers Association Pty Ltd) called in this document ‘the Publisher’, in the following terms. Please read the whole of this page carefully. If you do not agree to these terms, you should not obtain information, service, membership or products from this site. The Publisher reserves the right to review and modify any of the ‘Terms and Conditions’ at any time. The Publisher welcomes your comments and feedback.

Membership & Cancellations

  1. Application for Membership

1.1. Our current Membership descriptions, entitlements and pricing will always be stated on our website located at https://apata.com.au

1.2. All applications for Membership must be made by filling out the form on our website. This will create a Membership account for you.

1.3. All information you provide during the application process must be accurate and complete, and it is your responsibility to keep your details up to date.

1.4. We will only process completed applications and reserve the right to reject an application for any reason.

1.5. It is your sole responsibility to maintain the confidentiality of any password you create for accessing your account.

1.6. We will send you a confirmation email on payment of the applicable Membership Fee. Your Membership is deemed accepted on the day you receive the email.

  1. Membership Fee

2.1. The Membership Fee is paid by a single upfront annual payment via credit card on our website.  

2.3. We may increase the Membership Fee from time to time. If we do so, we will give you at least 14 day’s notice of the intended increase by email and by notice on our website.

2.4. Minimum commitment is 12 months from initial joining date. Your Membership Fees are non-refundable if you wish to cancel your membership early.

2.5. As a Member you have access to a range of member benefits which may change from time to time.

  1. Auto Renewal

3.1. Your Membership will be automatically renewed each year, on the anniversary of the date you joined APATA (Anniversary), unless you wish to terminate your membership subscription which you are able to select through your account or selected payment portal.

3.2. The Membership Fee for the forthcoming year will be charged to the same credit card you used on joining unless you specify otherwise.

3.3. You may opt out of auto-renewal in the payment section of your Member Dashboard at anytime.

3.4. If you wish to terminate your Membership and auto renewal has activated, you have 14 days to notify us in writing post the Anniversary date. If we do not receive notification from you, your Membership shall be finalised and the applicable Membership Fee payable for the next 12-months. If you wish to advise in writing to APATA to cancel your subscription and for unforeseen issues unable to access your APATA Account, notification must be received 14 days prior to the Anniversary date. Notifications should be sent to hello@apata.com.au

  1. Refunds

4.1. The Membership Fee is not refundable.

4.2. APATA may offer a refund in special circumstances on a case-by-case basis. If you feel that you deserve a refund, you must contact us in writing outlining the circumstances to hello@apata.com.au. We will then review your correspondence and advise our decision in writing.

Trade Mark

APATA (The Australian Performing Arts Teachers Association Pty Ltd) trademark or logo (whether registered or otherwise) may not be used without prior, specific, written permission of The Publisher. The APATA (The Australian Performing Arts Teachers Association Pty Ltd) website and emails may contain links to websites not owned or operated by APATA (The Australian Performing Arts Teachers Association Pty Ltd). We do not accept liability for the availability or content of these sites.

Advertisements for Competitions and Promotions

If an Advertisement is for a competition/promotion being run by the Advertiser (or its client), the Advertiser must ensure that the identity of the promoter is set out in the Advertisement, that all required permits have been obtained and all applicable regulations/advertising requirements have been complied with.

General Provisions

These ‘Terms and Conditions’ are governed by the laws of Australia. If any part of these ‘Terms and Conditions’ is found to be invalid or unenforceable, it shall be served without affecting the remainder.
