NIDA Open Day

The National Institute of Dramatic Arts (NIDA) have announced that their Open Day this year will take place on Saturday 12 June, offering both in person and online platforms. The full program of experiences will be released in April 2021. To Register – Click Here.

NIDA is renowned as one of Australia’s leading centres for education and training in the performing arts offering multiple career choices for those seeking to start a career in the creative industry across full-time accredited degrees in acting, costume, design performance, properties and props, scenic construction and technologies, and technical theatre and stage management. Master’s degrees are also available in cultural leadership, directing and writing for performance and diploma courses in musical theatre, live production and technical services, stage and screen performance, and specialist make-up services.

The team at NIDA also make training available to the public with term classes, short courses, school-holiday programs, and evening and weekend classes. NIDA’s open programs are designed for children, young people and adults, as well as running corporate workshops for business professionals.

Whether teaching children to tell stories, professionals to speak publicly or talented adults to become professional actors, NIDA’s aim is to provide an immersive creative environment that encourages collaboration and innovation.

Further to the above the team at NIDA present a vibrant school program to allow teachers and schools across Australia to access NIDA’s educational expertise and training philosophy through customised workshops and professional development programs. The schools program offers outstanding performing arts education activities for both students and teachers reflecting NIDA’S practice-based conservatoire training model.
