Queensland Ballet Academy’s esteemed Faculty of teachers are ready to mentor talented young dancers during these established Summer School programs.

Artistic Director, Li Cunxin, joins Queensland Ballet Academy’s Summer School as a guest teacher this December! Participants will gain direct instruction and guidance from Li, as he takes two classes across the Summer School program, and joins the panel for the Q&A Session. 13-18 December 2021.

The Summer School program for dancers 10 to 18 years, includes classes in classical ballet technique, pointe work*, repertoire, character dance, contemporary dance, and male technique (subject to number of male participants). Students also participate in informative discussions with a variety of professionals from Queensland Ballet, the broader industry and / or affiliated health fields.

The Junior Summer School program for children 7.5 to 9 years, includes classes in classical ballet, character dance, repertoire and contemporary dance.

*For safe dance practice, Queensland Ballet Academy Faculty will assess older students’ ability for pointe work.

Summer School Fees*

$750 (inc. GST) – External students aged 10 – 18

$700 (inc. GST) – current Queensland Ballet Academy students in the Pre-Professional and Academy Programs

$190 (inc. GST) – External students aged 7.5 – 9

$165 (inc. GST) – current Queensland Ballet Academy Foundation Program students

All participants must be under 18 years of age at the time of the event. Discount codes for current Academy students will be provided by email.
