Frankston City Council is supporting local artists to continue creating work that contributes to Frankston’s culture and community with these Artist grants. Applications close Sunday 19 July, 2020.

Artist Project Grants

Up to $4,000 Open now

The Artist Project Grant provides assistance to individual artists, creatives or artists practicing within a small arts organisation, includes emerging, mid-career or established.

The funding will be distributed to eight successful recipients to develop new work that can be presented online, in a site specific location or at a venue when social distancing restrictions allow. Artist Project Grant Guidelines

Creative Industries Professional Development Grants

Up to $2,500 Open now
Applications close: Sunday 19 July

The Creative Industries Professional Development Grant offers once off assistance to support eight local artists and creatives to build the capacity of their practice via participation in further training, career development activities, mentorships,

workshops and other projects directly related to career development. Please note funding will be paid in two stages. Creative Industries Grant Guidelines

Major Local Community Events Grant

Open: 9am Monday 6 July
Applications close: midnight, Friday 31 July

The Major Local Community Events Grants provide funding to support locally initiated events that significantly benefit Frankston City residents and build local capacity for participation in, celebratory, cultural and artistic activities.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic government restrictions, successful applicants will only be permitted to run their event if there are no applicable mass gathering restrictions in place, which would reasonably allow the event to occur. Discussions will be had between the events team and successful applicants to determine reasonable timeframes.
