Sutherland Shire Council is excited to announce that the inaugural Cut Short Film Competition is now open for entries.

This new short film competition has been developed to support the arts industry in the Sutherland Shire and beyond and to provide a platform for the creative development of local and emerging filmmakers.

The categories include Primary School, High School, University/TAFE and Open. The prize pool is over $10,000.

This year’s theme is ‘Connected to Nature’ with submitted films requiring at least 50% of the film being shot within the Sutherland Shire Council local government area.

Entries are now open and close 7 November 2022.
