Posted by Support Act | Jul 22, 2021

Support Act presents a series of ‘On My Mind’ events, specifically for First Nations artists, crew and music workers.

The first event in the series, Yarning Strong, will be held this week, Friday 23 July 7:30pm (AEST) with artists JK-47 and Kutcha Edwards hosted by Cerisa Grant, Support Act Community Engagement & Social Worker and proud Walpiri, Jawoyn and Gurrindji woman.

The free, online talk will focus on:
  • First Nations mental health and what it looks like in the music industry
  • How music heals and is an expression of storytelling that has been passed down for generations
  • Why it’s important for the industry to create a culturally safe space for First Nations artists, artist managers, crew and music workers to express themselves and their history.

You must RSVP to watch the event
