World Ballet Day 2019

An annual celebration with global reach, World Ballet Day since its inception in 2014 captures global ballet power houses to the likes of The Australian Ballet, Bolshoi Ballet, The Royal Ballet, The National Ballet of Canada and The San Francisco Ballet live streaming behind-the-scene action and all things ballet in October.

The elites in ballet provide an inside view ‘live’ for audiences providing an in-depth experience at the athleticism and dedication of those working and performing in the world of ballet across practice, rehearsal and backstage preparations.

Guest companies have joined the global movement to share their talents from Australia and Asia, Mainland Europe, the United Kingdom, America and Canada. Ballet lovers around the world have thoroughly enjoyed unseen and untapped exposure to watch and learn from the superstars of the stage. To watch ballet artists of the world work, practice and perfect every movement, placement and technique is an extreme physical capability that transfix the viewer. It’s a day where viewers across multiple time zones quickly learn this delicate, effortless art form makes extreme sports look beige. From dawn to dusk the schedule for each company is jam packed with viewer participation, interviews and highlights.

Returning in 2019, World Ballet day is scheduled for Wednesday, 23 October with a focus around theme ‘Every Body Can Dance’. So, schedule the day off, sit back and enjoy a world-wide extravaganza of the best in the world!
