Win could lead to the Oscars.

LOST CONTACT by Griffith Film School Master students Jaina Kalifa and Amelia Paxman recently won best documentary at the St Kilda Film Festival.
This award is Academy Award qualifying and meaning they are eligible for consideration in the Documentary Short section of the Oscars.
“Thanks to all the incredible cast and crew who made this possible. And thanks to Aldo, the star of the show, the man who opened up his life, his world and his thoughts to us. Thanks for your patience, courage and wisdom.”
Aldo has always felt like a being from another planet, stranded on Earth. His autism and long struggle to speak fluently alienated him from others. Now, he searches for meaning in the esoteric and for connection with people like himself.
