Renaissance One and This is Who We Are present a conversation about hiphop music and empowering women in the music scene in Australia, UK and worldwide.

When: Saturday 19 March 2022

Time: 6am – 7am AEDT

Free – registrations essential

Join in the conversation between Naomi Wenitong, Maya Jupiter, MC Trey, DJ Sarah Love and TrueMENDOUS about the impact of working across regions, and their significant efforts to elevate girls and women of colour in hip-hop in Australia, UK and worldwide.

This event is part of THIS IS WHO WE ARE, a UK-Australian movement of intergenerational and intersectional women artists, producers and creatives of colour who are transforming sectors, thinking and spaces. With heritages including African and Caribbean, First Nations, West, South and South East Asian origins, they are amplifying their collective power through arts and cultural events, socials, professional development resources and gatherings which champion the values of social justice, creativity and care.

This is a  closed gathering for women and girls of colour, First Nations women/girls and/or gender diverse folk, with a focus on hip-hop.

This event will be recorded and replayed as part of the This is Who We Are online festival and to on Diversity Arts Australia’s Colour Cycle podcast.
