Resources – Australian Children’s Music Foundation

Posted by Team APATA | May 6, 2021

Changing young lives through music, the Australia Children’s Music Foundation (ACMF) provides free, long term music programs and instruments to disadvantaged and First Nations children across Australia, that inspire creativity, bring joy and hope, and achieve positive educational and behavioural outcomes.

Australian Children’s Music Foundation – ACMF have developed education resource packs that are designed to enable teachers who are not trained in the delivery of music lessons to easily engage their children in participatory music activities.

Resources are also suitable for parents wanting to engage their children in fun and informative lessons and games. The purchase of any of these packs will support the ACMF in their goal of changing young lives through music and providing weekly music education classes and instruments to disadvantaged children and youth at risk throughout Australia.

Legendary children’s entertainer Don Spencer OAM is an expert at working with children through music and musical play and founded the ACMF 19 years ago when he was struck by the incredible potential that music has to engage children with learning, and to improve a child’s mental and emotional wellbeing. This range of education resources feature a host of Don’s beloved original children’s songs, NAIDOC teaching resources, Indigenous Language ‘Advance Australia Fair’ lessons, ANZAC Day Song Medley and more.
