Posted by Team APATA | Oct 7, 2021

The nominees for the fifth Telstra ARIA Music Teacher Award have been announced and it looks set to be a fantastic few weeks of voting in the lead up to the ARIAs when the winner will be announced.

Championed by award partners The Song Room and Telstra, this award is a celebration of the music teachers who have made an incredible impact through what has been one of the most challenging years the awards have seen.

Alice Gerlach, CEO of The Song Room, said: “Witnessing the enormous effect that music education had on students during 2020 affirmed how life-changing music can be. Many vulnerable children stayed connected to their learning during this turbulent year because of music at their school. We are thrilled to a partner with ARIA for the fifth year to acknowledge the impact that music teachers have on children and their communities”.
