Mar 5, 2020

The Lighthouse Award is open for applications 6 March – 7 April 2020, 5pm (AEST)

The Award will be presented to a female or female-identifying manager or self-managed artist and will support them in their professional development with a $10,000 grant to be used within a year. The Lighthouse Award was established in honour of Linda Gebar who died tragically in 2008 after the birth of her second child and exists to continue Linda’s work, and support a forward thinking manager dedicated to Australian music.

As a passionate member of the local music scene Linda was one of the few female managers of the 90s, working with The Killjoys, Frente and The Blackeyed Susans. Working at APRA AMCOS Linda also booked the Punters Club, had a record label and worked at PBS FM.
