Heart of Gold International Film Festival

Now in its 11th year, the Heart of Gold International Short Film Festival brings together short films hand-picked with the help of small screening groups from the Gympie community.

“Over four days Heart of Gold will screen more than 130 short films from all genres, alongside and exciting program of workshops, family activities, free events and discussions to delight filmmakers, film lovers and local audiences”

This year the festival is looking through the lens of mosaics, in both the selection and the creation of the events on offer creating an affirmation that sometimes from brokenness, comes deep transformation.

Regional Queensland shines in this celebration of film and storytelling. With awards up for grabs for filmmakers young and old and special guests sharing their experience and knowledge Gympie really will be the place to be!
